Dr Nalini Kohlhagen has a passion for improving the standard of people’s health. Born and raised in Suva, Fiji, she has known since she was a little girl that she wanted to be a General Practitioner (GP). Now, after 23 years of practicing in Glasgow in various specialties, Nalini brings not just her family to New Zealand but her extensive background and experience in the hopes of improving the overall health of patients visiting The Fono Manurewa.

As a counsellor, his main passion is the facilitation of change in the lives of those he helps, by supporting them with crisis support advocacy and offering information.

Registered social worker Salome Finau once worked as a teacher and a factory worker before becoming a fulltime caregiver for her mother. Her previous roles all contributed to Salome’s drive to work towards helping those who need it the most. As part of The Fono’s Family Care Team, Salome is committed to assisting Pacific families who have experienced family violence.
