Events for Pasifika Mothers and Caregivers

Are you pregnant, a mother or caregiver of children under four or a support person / whanau to someone with young children? Pacific Healthy Babies Healthy Futures runs free events including physical activity and nutrition workshops to support you and your whanau.

Coming up

We have three Community Learners Programmes (CLP) groups in Ranui, Kelston and North Shore. These groups are open to Pasifika mothers to join at any time.

West Auckland CLP – Thursdays

(For pregnant women and mothers/caregivers with children under 4 years)

Dates: Thursdays 11, 18 & 25 May 2017

Time: 10.00am-1pm

Venues:

  1. Ranui Community Centre, 474 Swanson Road, Ranui
  2. Kelston Community Centre, 135 Awaroa Road, Kelston

North Shore CLP – Fridays

(For pregnant women and mothers/caregivers with children under 4 years)

Dates: Fridays 12, 19, & 26 May, 2017

Time: 10.00-1pm

Venue: Beach Haven Community House, 130 Beach Haven Road, Beach Haven


Graduation for West Auckland CLP

(Family members welcome)

What is Healthy Babies Healthy Futures?

Healthy Babies Healthy Futures Programme is a FREE public health initiative to prevent maternal and child obesity by improving nutrition and physical activity. The goal is to promote health and wellbeing of pregnant women, women with children under 4yrs, and their whanau and communities through improved nutrition and increased levels of physical activity. The Fono is the Lead Provider for Pacific HBHF and partners with Pacific Providers Procare, Alliance Health Plus, Pasifika Integrated Healthcare and TAHA Well Pacific Mother and Infant service.
