GP Registrar training at The Fono

The Fono is supporting young Pacific General Practitioners (GPs) to become Fellows of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) through the general practice education programme (GPEP). Here is some teacher feedback on Dr Luisa Fonua-Faeamani from a recent in-practice visit report with Registrar Dr Alisi Keppler.

“…I observed a very experienced, humble, caring, conscientious and competent teacher. You have skilled teaching techniques and are using and offering a broad range of appropriate learning experiences.”

“Thank you for being such a supportive teacher and taking on Alisi at this stage of her development as a GP. We really appreciate the support and assistance you are giving Alisi. Overall you and your staff are meeting Alisi’s learning needs very well.”

“Please pass on my thanks to your wonderful nursing and reception staff who also made me feel most welcome. I thought your manner was very approachable, gentle and created a safe space for learning.”

- Dr Susan J. Hawken, Visiting Medical Educator, The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners
