Vegetable and Bean Sprout Fritters

Here's a great fritter recipe that is crammed with vegetables and easy to make. The recipe serves 1 person but can be easily multiplied to serve more. This recipe is from Pasifika Flavours - Heart Foundation. 


  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup bean sprouts
  • 1 cup mixed frozen vegetable, thawed


  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over a medium heat
  2. Beat the egg with the flour and sesame oil
  3. Mix in the bean sprouts and vegetables
  4. Pour mixture into a pan and cook until lightly browned on side; flip and cook on the other side until lightly browned
  5. Serve warm with your choice of sauce and salad
