Mens Health

On average, New Zealand men live four years less than women, and are much less likely to talk to a GP about their health. Men are at greater risk of stroke, and it’s the second biggest single cause of death and the largest cause of disability in adults in New Zealand.

Take simple steps to prevent early death and disability. By taking preventative action you can reduce the danger of major health risks including stroke, testicular cancer, cardiovascular problems and depression.

The Fono offers a number of services specifically for men, and Male GP’s are available if you feel more comfortable with a male doctor.
