Salote Lavemai-Likiafu

Experience and specialist areas:

Salote has 18 years of experience in senior management roles at both private and public sector organisations in New Zealand. She brings to the Board experiences in finance, management, taxation, analysis, systems development, leadership, organisation governance, strategy planning and implementation.

Born and raised in Tonga, Salote migrated to New Zealand in 1998. She completed a Bachelor’s in Commerce and Administration (majoring in Accounting) in 2000 at the Victoria University of Wellington. Salote also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Auckland. A current member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand since 2009, she also holds a Certificate in Public Practice.

Salote is interested in providing equal opportunities to our Pasifika communities and ensuring that our Pasifika people utilise every opportunity available to advance their wealth of knowledge and expertise.
