Social Worker - Kahu Taurima
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Social Worker to join our Kahu Taurima team, supporting Pacific families across Waitematā.

About the Role: We are looking for a compassionate, community-minded Registered Social Worker to join our Kahu Taurima team at The Fono in Henderson.
This role supports Pacific families in West Auckland (Waitematā), working alongside parents and children from pregnancy to age five.
You will assess whānau needs, offer support, and connect families with the right services, like WINZ, Kāinga Ora, or mental health providers. You’ll also visit homes, support at appointments, and provide culturally respectful advice.
About You
What you will need for this Social Worker position is:
- A social work qualification and SWRB registration.
- Experience working with Pacific families, early intervention and community work.
- A clean police check and a full New Zealand Driver’s Licence.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and open to learning new systems.
- Strong people skills and a heart for Pacific communities.
- Fluency in a Pacific language is a bonus.
