About the Role
Complementing The Fono’s growing set of child-focused services, the organisation has been awarded a Waitemata region Kahu Taurima: Maternity and Early Years work programme. This is a priority programme of work within Te Pae Tata – the interim New Zealand Health Plan and is similar to “Well Child” however The Fono will incorporate the distinctive Pacific characteristics that it delivers so well.
About You
- Have a sound understanding and appreciation of Pacific cultures and protocols
- New Zealand Registered Midwife with current practicing certificate with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand
- Evidence of recent effective, competent midwifery practice
- Experience working within a community health and education role
- Full NZ drivers’ licence
