Here’s how we work for you

The Fono offers public health services to encourage a healthy lifestyle, through physical exercise and fitness, good nutrition and social activities.

Healthy Babies, Healthy Futures

Our programme supports the health and wellbeing of hapū māmā, parents and tamariki under 4 years old by promoting healthy eating and keeping active.

Breast screening support

We support and empower women to take charge of their health and wellbeing. We provide free mammography and assessment appointments for Pasifika women aged 45 - 69 years old.

Smokefree services

Quitting smoking can be challenging on your own. We're here to help you on your quit journey. Our services are free and flexible, and we'll give you support for as long as you need us.

Kahu Taurima

The Fono's Kahu Taurima programme aims to connect pregnant Pacific women to the services they need for a healthy pregnancy. These include midwives, doctors, counsellors as well as other health and social support services within The Fono and externally too.

Bowel screening support

Early detection of bowel cancer can save lives. We provide support services to free bowel test kits for Pasifika men and women aged between 50 - 74 years.

Community exercise classes

We offer free and fun community exercise classes for all ages in different locations in West Auckland.

Enua Ola

Enua Ola is a programme for community groups and Pasifika churches, enabling these communities to keep active, improve wellness and encourage healthier lifestyles.

Four decades ago the pioneers of The Fono had a vision. To establish a Pasifika for Pasifika health and social services hub for our families and communities. We are realising that vision today.
