About the role

Join our Fale Talanoa Contact Centre team and play a key role in supporting Pacific whānau to access the health and wellbeing services they need – with care, culture, and connection at the heart of everything we do.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and tech-savvy individual to join our team based at our Regional Office in Mt Wellington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the health and wellbeing sector.

What will you be doing

  • Be the first point of contact for our clients – answering calls, managing appointments, handling online enrolments, and responding to general enquiries.
  • Learn about The Fono’s range of services and confidently refer clients to the right services.
  • Support the smooth running of our clinics by working closely with health teams across our network.
  • Grow into a potential future role in medical reception, with ongoing training and development.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a friendly and professional phone manner, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
  • Brings customer service or contact centre experience – ideally in a medical or clinical setting.
  • Is confident using technology – experience with Medtech Evolution is a big advantage.
  • Speaks a Pacific language and has a strong understanding of English – this is highly valued and adds depth to the support we offer.
  • Is passionate about supporting our Pacific people and creating better access to care.
