Dentist - Manurewa (part-time)
About the Role
The Fono is seeking a skilled and compassionate dentist to join our team at Manurewa and through our Mobile Dental Unit (MDU). This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality oral health care in both clinic and community settings. Position & Schedule:
- Manurewa Clinic & Mobile Dental Unit: Wednesday and Saturday – 16 hours per week (part-time).
- Work will be a combination of the Manurewa clinic and MDU, depending on the frequency of community events (approximately once per month).
- Junior (not brand new) to intermediate level – must be able to work independently.
Remuneration Options:
We are open to offering this position on either a contractor or PAYE employment basis. This flexibility allows you to choose the arrangement that best suits your lifestyle and career goals. We are happy to discuss either option.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
- Support preventive, restorative, and emergency dental services.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure culturally safe, patient-centred care.
- Participate in community outreach and mobile dental services via the MDU (for Manurewa role).
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health and safety and infection control standards.

The role is part-time 3 days a week, with flexibility around the schedule (Wednesday to Friday is preferred). Saturdays will either be a set third day or part of a rotating roster with a day off during the week.
