Health Care Assistant

Support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while making a meaningful difference in the community.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our Pacific Outreach Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) service. This is a community-focused role where you will be working directly with patients and their whānau, both in clinic and in their homes. A significant part of this position involves travelling within the community to provide front-line support, so confidence and comfort working in home environments is essential.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of culturally responsive, patient-centred care, working closely with Registered Nurses (RNs), General Practitioners (GPs), and the wider team to improve health outcomes for Pacific communities. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys being out in the community, building relationships, and making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

  • Confidence working with Pacific communities and diverse populations.
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
