Health Coach
About the Role
Healthy Minds - LagiOla is seeking a passionate and motivated Health Coach to support Pacific individuals and families in achieving their health and wellbeing goals. In this role, you will empower clients to make sustainable lifestyle changes, develop confidence, and take control of their wellbeing. You will provide personalised guidance on areas such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep, and medication adherence, while also connecting clients with relevant health, social, and community services.
You will work collaboratively within the Healthy Life team, The Fono, and external partners to deliver innovative, culturally appropriate, and client-focused services that reduce health inequities for Pacific communities. This is a dynamic role where flexibility, empathy, and teamwork are essential, and full training and mentoring will be provided.

You will be comfortable working in a role requiring flexibility and a variety of approaches that are appropriate for our patients/consumers. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver health coaching and support clients in achieving sustainable wellbeing goals.
- Provide education, emotional support, and tools for managing long-term conditions.
- Act as a bridge between clients and health professionals, referring to wider services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings, supervision, and training.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and health promotion initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in community health, mental health, social services, or education.
- Strong communication, cultural awareness, empathy, and teamwork.
- Competent in Word, Outlook, Excel, and client management systems.
- Full NZ driver’s license and clean Police vetting result.
- Written and spoken English; Pacific language skills advantageous.
