John Paterson

Board Member

John Paterson is of Maori descent and has an extensive career in Health, including 28 years developing Maori Health Operational Strategy for Waitemata and Auckland DHBs. He is currently employed with Counties Manukau Health (DHB). John’s particular expertise is in strategic operational management and community provider relationships. John also has over nineteen years of engineering experience with the New Zealand Railways.

In addition to his commitments to The Fono Board and its Finance, Audit and Human Resources Committee, he is a Director of the Oceania Careers Academy Board, a Roopu Member of Massey Primary School and a Board Member of Te Reo Tuatahi Trust Board.

John also loves to spend time with Whānau, going for walks and fishing.
