6 Tips To Make Shopping Easier

Going to the supermarket can be stressful at the best of times, but as the cost of living continues to rise it’s making everything a little harder. So, here are some simple tips to make your shop a little less stressful.

Tip nO. 1

Try to do your food and grocery shopping in one visit, not in multiple visits.

One way is to write a shopping list, and always try to stick to that list!

Tip NO. 2

Leave the children at home with your partner or carer when you go food shopping to reduce distractions.

If you need to take the children, make sure they’ve had something to eat beforehand.

Tip NO. 3

Make sure you’ve eaten, because if you’re hungry when you’re food shopping, then you’ll tend to buy food that isn’t on your shopping list!

Tip NO. 4

Buy fruit and vegetables that are in season.

How do you know they’re in season?

Because they’re selling the cheapest!

Tip NO. 5

Choose items that will add bulk to meals like rice, porridge, pasta, noodles, etc.

Tip NO. 6

Plan and write all ingredients for your meals. Make sure some of these ingredients can be used in 2 or 3 meals.

And finally, a tip to help save money on fuel!

Set a budget for petrol. If it’s $50 per week then fill your petrol ONCE at the gas station with $50 of petrol. This will help you to monitor how much petrol you’re using.
