About the Role

Investment in our mental health services, LagiOla – Healthy Minds, continues grow and develop. We continue to transform how The Fono provides health and wellbeing services for Pacific families with the Health Coach Lead role.

The dynamic and growing team of LagiOla Health Coaches work alongside patients and families at the GP practice and in the community to help them achieve lifestyle changes resulting in greater overall wellbeing.

This is a rare team lead opportunity combined with frontline engagement with individuals and their whanau.

The role will extend and strengthen The Fono’s integrated way of working, and includes teamwork with the LagiOla leadership team, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Counsellors, Cultural Navigators, and integrated Whanau Ora and Social Services. Pacific values, beliefs and practices sit at the heart of what we do, guiding our approach to serving.

You will have:

  • Suitable Health Coach training, qualifications, and experience
  • A passion to develop further in leadership.
  • A deep understanding of Pacific cultures and protocols and the ability to engage from a variety of backgrounds.
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude, flexibility, and excitement to be part of something new.
  • Energy to be part of, and contribute to the ongoing development of the exciting LagiOla development at The Fono
