Support Pacific families through pregnancy, early parenting, and the first 2000 days of a child’s life within a culturally grounded, community-focused model of care. This role works closely with whānau to provide holistic nursing support, health education, advocacy, and connections to essential health and community services.

About the Role
As part of the Kahu Taurima team, you will work alongside families, health professionals, and community services to provide holistic, culturally responsive support to pregnant women, parents, and young children across Waitematā.
You will build trusted relationships with families, provide health education and advocacy, and help ensure whānau can confidently access the services and support they need.
What you will do:
- Deliver culturally safe nursing assessments and support for Pacific families
- Support pregnant women and parents through early childhood health journeys
- Provide health education, advocacy and wellbeing support
- Conduct home visits and accompany clients to appointments where required
- Connect families with midwives, primary care, and community services
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide wraparound care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case notes
About you
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ nursing experience, ideally in community, maternal, child, or public health settings
- Strong understanding of Pacific cultures, values, and communities
- Ability to speak a Pacific language is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship management skills
- Confidence working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
- Full NZ Driver's Licence
