About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated, caring and passionate Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Registrar to be part of the integrated LagiOla Healthy Minds team.

Your approach will see you collaborate and work alongside medical staff, other psychiatrists/registrar, psychologists, brief intervention Mind Health Practitioners, Health Coaches and Cultural Navigators – Together addressing the symptoms and systemic contributors to mental health distress. Your expert skills will make a significant impact with Fono families and will strengthen the wider team and services.

The Registered Psychiatrist position will be based in Henderson but have responsibilities across Metro Auckland. Hours and days are flexible?

What you will need for this position is:

Registration (compliant with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003)
Understanding of the principles of working in a practice setting.
A deep understanding of Pacific culture and protocols and the ability to engage with individuals and family from a variety of backgrounds in New Zealand and the Pacific.
