About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated, caring and passionate Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Registrar to be part of the integrated LagiOla Healthy Minds team.

Your approach will see you collaborate and work alongside medical staff, other psychiatrists/registrar, psychologists, brief intervention Mind Health Practitioners, Health Coaches and Cultural Navigators – Together addressing the symptoms and systemic contributors to mental health distress. Your expert skills will make a significant impact with Fono families and will strengthen the wider team and services.

The Registered Psychiatrist position will be based in Henderson but have responsibilities across Metro Auckland. Hours and days are flexible?

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities include:

  • Psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning within a community and whānau-centred context
  • Ongoing clinical management of clients with a range of mental health and wellbeing needs
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, mind health practitioners, health coaches and community navigators
  • Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and clinical governance in a public sector / NGO setting
  • For registrars: participating in supervised clinical practice that meets RANZCP training requirements
  • Your choice of 0.2 or 0.4 FTE.
