Rising Stars Emerging Leaders Programme

The Fono has launched its inaugural Rising Stars 'Emerging Leaders' Programme to develop leadership potential among frontline staff. 

"We are excited to announce this programme, designed specifically for staff interested in taking the next step in their leadership journey," said Sally Dalhousie, Chief Operations Manager. "It will provide our team with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to transition into leadership roles and strengthen their impact within the organisation and the communities they serve." 

Staff from across the organisation have enthusiastically applied, hoping to develop their leadership skills, boost their professional confidence, and develop strategic thinking. In their applications, many expressed their desire to contribute more effectively to The Fono's goals while advancing their own career aspirations. Several noted how the training would help them better understand operational aspects of leadership and improve their service to our communities. 

This initiative aligns with The Fono's strategic goal of "empowering our workforce" and demonstrates our commitment to creating meaningful career pathways for staff while preparing for future leadership needs. The five-session programme commenced 18 March with seven staff members selected as the first cohort.
