Kahu Taurima Finds NIU Home

Following last month's announcement about expanding our Kahu Taurima programme to South Auckland, we're excited to share we now have a complete Counties Manukau team which has established its temporary base at Niu Life Midwives clinic in Papatoetoe. 

This strategic partnership creates a powerful connection enriching support for families accessing both services. Niu Life Midwives connects Kahu Taurima families to midwifery care, antenatal classes, and breastfeeding support, while Kahu Taurima extends its cultural, social services and integrated model of care to the clinic's patients. 

Skilled staff members across two specialised teams deliver culturally grounded care that truly understands the needs of Pasifika mothers from pregnancy through their child's crucial first five years. Through comprehensive antenatal and parenting education, health and social service referrals, and personalised home visits, our dedicated team walk alongside whānau at every step of their journey. 

This collaboration represents more than just a shared location - it's about creating a comprehensive support network where Pasifika families can access both clinical excellence and cultural understanding under one roof.
