The Fono Patient Portal: Health Made Simple

The Fono has always believed that access to good healthcare should be simple, connected, and built around the needs of our communities. That belief is at the heart of an exciting change we're proud to share.

As of November 2025, The Fono has launched a new online patient portal powered by Vensa, and it's set to make a real difference to the way our patients and whānau manage their health every day.

The new portal puts everyday healthcare tasks in the hands of our patients. From ordering a free repeat prescription from home, to checking lab results without waiting for a callback, to helping a whānau member manage their appointments through the Care Circle feature, it's designed around the real lives of the people we serve. It works on any device through a standard web browser at login.vensa.com, with no app download needed.

Privacy and security are built in throughout. Vensa uses encrypted connections, two-step sign-in, and strict access controls.

Since going live in November, students and staff in our waiting rooms have played a big part in helping patients make the switch. By walking patients through how the portal works and why it's useful, they helped build real confidence in using technology to take charge of their own health. A big shout-out too to The Fono's Fale Talanoa team, who were fantastic at quickly approving Care Circle requests and making the onboarding process much smoother for everyone.

What Our Patients Need to Know

Getting started is simple. For patients who previously used Manage My Health, now is the time to make the switch. Setting up a new account takes only a few minutes at login.vensa.com/home. Historical records remain available through Manage My Health for those who need them.
